Hello UHI Moray,
My name is Sarah Marshall, and I am currently studying Level 6 Hairdressing here at UHI Moray. Though I'm not the best at talking about myself, I’m going to do my best to share my vision with you today.
As many of you know, I currently serve as the Depute President for HISA at UHI Moray. It's been a rewarding experience, and I've truly enjoyed working alongside both students and staff to improve the student experience here. One of the things I love most is connecting with all of you during our coffee mornings. It's always great to chat over a cuppa, enjoy a treat, and hear your thoughts. But beyond the fun, I also believe in the importance of being a voice for students. I’m here to listen, support, and point you in the right direction if you ever need advice or help with any challenges you might be facing.
As a student myself, I understand the pressures and difficulties that come with being in this position. So, rest assured, you are never alone. If you ever feel like you need someone to talk to or need assistance, I am always available to listen and help in any way I can.
Looking ahead, my plans as your Local President are to continue supporting the UHI Moray Glee Club, a project I hold dear to my heart. The Glee Club has provided a wonderful space for students to come together, unwind, and build friendships. I firmly believe that students need to have that space to relax, recharge, and enjoy themselves after the hard work they put into their studies. If elected, I will work to ensure that this tradition continues for years to come.
Additionally, I remain committed to improving transportation options for students, particularly through Stagecoach. Many of us rely on public transport to travel to and from UHI Moray, and I understand how vital it is. While I can’t promise immediate changes, I can assure you that I will continue to bring forward your concerns and work towards finding solutions to any issues you may have with public transport.
Above all, my goal is to ensure that your student experience at UHI Moray is positive and fulfilling. Whether it’s by supporting student clubs, advocating for better services, or simply being here when you need help, I am committed to making UHI Moray the best it can be for everyone.
I hope you’re all having a fantastic time here at UHI Moray, and I would be honored to continue serving you as your Local President.
All the best,
Sarah Marshall
