Training for our Student Voice Reps is an important way of helping SVRs to understand their role, gain new skills, and be certificated for their time! We encourage all SVRs to undertake training. While every SVR will receive details by email, this page outlines what's on offer.
Modules
We have a core training session for new SVRs, and one for those who have been an SVR before. These sessions take up to a hour, and cover the most important things to know about the role.
We also will have a broad range of sessions for different types of students and different aspects of the role, so it is possible to undertake a number of different modules depending on interest or need. More information on that will be posted here soon, and we are always keen for ideas for new topics that SVRs might find useful.
Flexible delivery
Our training is designed to fit around SVRs. We deliver the core training modules in three ways:
- In-person delivery at some campuses.
- Teams sessions.
- Coming soon, a self-study module on Brightspace.
If you're an SVR you should have received information about this by email. If not, please drop us a line!
Other modules will available in different formats depending on content.
