As students at the main UHI Moray campus will be aware, the catering service in the refectory recently closed, and UHI Moray entered into an arrangement to put in place various vending machines. We are already receiving lots of comments from students, including through Student Voice Reps, expressing dissatisfaction with this, such as machine faults and concerns about the quality and dietary value of the provision.

HISA takes these concerns very seriously and our Moray Depute President, Callum, is working with UHI Moray management to find solutions. We are also asking our Student Voice Reps to help gather student feedback about their views and experiences, and to suggest ideas for what should happen in the future.

We have launched a survey open to all UHI Moray students to ask for your experiences of catering on campus and your views of what should happen. We will initially analyse feedback at our next SVR meeting on 30th November, meaning SVRs can help shape what happens next, but it will remain open thereafter. The survey will also allow reporting of faults with individual vending machines.

We are committed to making the on-campus experience for UHI Moray students the best it can be, and we appreciate that healthy, nutritious, affordable and easily accessible food is a huge part of this. With your help through your feedback and ideas from this survey, we can help make things better.

For any further questions, please email our HISA Moray team.
