UHI Theological and Philosophical Society (TPS)

The Theological and Philosophical Society (TPS) provides a welcoming space for students to explore, discuss and debate a wide range of theological and philosophical questions across different worldviews, cultures and intellectual traditions.

TPS aims to bring theology and philosophy into conversation with one another, drawing on philosophical approaches to explore theological questions and theological perspectives to engage with philosophical ideas. Members will have the opportunity to encounter thinkers, traditions and debates that may not be covered within current UHI courses, broadening their knowledge and encouraging critical discussion.

Alongside regular discussions, TPS aims to facilitate in-person meetings, guest talks and opportunities to engage with academics and other speakers. Members will have opportunities to attend relevant conferences, seminars, and events, helping to build a vibrant community at UHI no matter where you are based.
