Sophie MacGregor

Development Manager - Inverness Region

Sophie MacGregor is currently the Development Manager for the Inverness region, covering UHI Inverness, Centre for Health Science & the Highland Theological College. This role involves looking after the Local Coordinators and local officers at each campus. It also includes promoting and encouraging engagement with the students, growing and maintaining relationships with the staff at each of the campuses as well as making plans with the local teams to improve the students’ experience during their studies.

She previously worked as the Local Coordinator for UHI Inverness for two & a half years before moving to her current position. She also studied a variety of courses with UHI Inverness beforehand and was a class rep which is what motivated her to work in the education & advocacy sector.

Her most recent achievement was managing the student rep system on a regional level, working on regional & local training sessions, ensuring everyone who completed training received a certificate of completion and that they feel confident to carry out their role throughout the year.
