After living in several countries across Europe over the past 20 years, I recently settled in Perth and joined HISA after graduating from UHI with an Honours degree in Sociology and Philosophy. Having spent over three years as an elected Course Student Representative, I know first-hand how valuable a Students' Association can be in making student voices heard and creating a positive student experience. My background spans audiovisual production, ICT and community engagement. Over the past five years, I've gradually moved towards work focused on supporting people, bringing together experience in facilitating workshops, organising events and community projects, including working with asylum-seeking young people and helping establish a men's group addressing social isolation in Glasgow.
As Engagement Coordinator for Perth, I'm here to support student-led clubs and societies, work alongside Student Voice Representatives, organise activities and help students make the most of their time at UHI Perth. I'm always happy to hear your ideas, help you get something started, or simply have a chat. Outside HISA, I continue to make videos for charities and work as a Spanish tutor.
