Centre for Rural Health Sciences

If you're studying Nursing, Oral Health Science, Optometry and many other courses then you're part of the Centre for Health Sciences, based in UHI House and Stornoway.

 

The Centre for Rural Health Sciences provides strategic leadership and drives co-ordination with other stakeholders including regional health boards in delivering on the regional strategic priorities in health. They embrace the totality of health education as the leading provider in the region for health, care and wellbeing education and employer engagement in addition to collaborative applied research and knowledge exchange across the partnership founded in our unique environment.

The centre changed it's name in 2024 from the Centre for Health Sciences to the Centre for Rural Health Sciences.
