Thurso Community Development Trust (TCDT) formed in 2018 with the purpose of making Thurso a better place to live, work and visit for all through community-led sustainable development.
Our strategic plan was informed by extensive community consultation and we have since established projects within the Thurso Community that include, regular Seniors lunch, Sharing Shed (tackling food poverty and food waste), 2 community garden sites, a community toilet and projects that support community poverty action.
Description of Projects/role (Description with Links)
We welcome new volunteers across all our projects and have various roles and responsibilities available to anyone in the community that wished to engage.
Our opportunities include (but not limited to) – community gardening at one of our two garden projects, supporting the Sharing Shed (opening and closing and food collections) to supporting the monthly Seniors Lunch and helping with the community toilets.
