Inverness President

Liz Keegan

Hi, I’m Liz Keegan, president of the Highlands and Islands Students’ Association at Inverness.

I am also a full-time student on the Sociology and Criminology degree, after studying HNC Social Science last year and the level 6 Social Science the year before that.

My role as president involves planning and promoting events, recruiting, and meeting with Student Voice Representatives, and being an approachable face for students that have any questions or issues. I will also be working on the mental health agreement that was voted for by students last year, which calls for the requirement of staff to have some form of mental health awareness training.

Mental health and disability awareness are causes I hold very close, as I have ADHD and fibromyalgia and believe the more, we talk about it, the less stigmatised and the more widely understood it will be for others in similar situations.

You can email Liz here.
