Inverness Depute President

Oliver J. Sweeney

Hi! I’m Oliver Sweeney, you Inverness Depute President. I’m currently studying HNC Business Management. In the future I hope to open my own business (or two). As your Depute President here in Inverness, I’m really focussed on making sure all student’s voices are heard. I also have a strong belief in the positive impacts of active travel, and I hope to work with UHI Inverness to help encourage and support more active travel amongst students. As a mature student I also understand how difficult it is to juggle and education with the commitments that we often find ourselves with outside of our studies, so I will work hard with the college to help mature students, who may have a lot on their plates, to succeed in their studies. When I’m not here on campus studying or working on behalf of students, you can often find me training my Border Collie for agility competitions or snapping away on an old film camera.

Got some ideas on how we can make our student lives better? Come and see me in the HISA office or stop me for a chat any time.
