New Group - Gaelic Society

This is a brand new organisation which is going to be dedicated to welcoming everyone who wants to learn some Gaelic, practice existing and generally go out and experience some events or meet up to learn.

This is just starting up but if you are reading this then the aim is to provide a platform that people can meet up regularly and get some practice in reading and writing.  We welcome any level.  Personally I am very new.  I have have been looking around for things to do and the Blas festival popped up.  Its a series of events with live music around the highlands.  As I am based in Inverness I've booked four tickets to see FRAS.  This is a small snippet from the promotional text on the Blas festival website.

"FRAS have stormed their way through the West coast of Scotland and beyond with their iconic pipe heavy sound. A thundering four piece from na Garbh Chrìochan of box, flute, pipes and guitar. FRAS blend old melodies and original tunes to create a crashing wave of highland music."

This is on the 6th September at 19:30 located at the Croy Village Hall.  The first 3 people who contact me can have a free ticket.  I have a car and can drive and maybe other people will be able to offer that as well.  My email is here if you want to enquire:  25006585@uhi.ac.uk

Thanks for reading!
