About Us

Gaelic Together will promote the learning and use of Scottish Gaelic in a welcoming and inclusive environment for all levels, from complete beginners to fluent speakers.

Gaelic Together is a society for anyone interested in learning and practising Scottish Gaelic, no matter your level. Whether you are a complete beginner or already fluent, you’ll find a friendly and supportive space here.

We meet regularly for a mix of online and in-person activities: conversation circles, games, film nights, and cultural outings such as shinty matches, ceilidhs, and trips to local Gaelic centres. Our aim is to make Gaelic fun, accessible, and sustainable, building a community that lasts for future learners.

Membership is free and open to all UHI students. We particularly welcome learners from satellite campuses and remote locations, with hybrid events and online groups ensuring no one is left out.
