UHI Commons is a student run community on Discord, made to help UHI students meet new people and feel connected. It can be hard to find friends at college or uni, especially with so many campuses spread out, so this is a space where everyone at UHI is welcome to chat, share interests, and support each other. As well as being an online hub, we host regular events both online and in person. Most in-person events will be in Inverness or Perth, but students are welcome to run their own meetups at other campuses too. We want UHI Commons to feel like one big family, no matter what campus you’re from or how far apart we are. Our chosen motto is “Air Muir ’s Air Tìr” (By Sea and By Land), written in Scottish Gaelic.
