College life is full of moments worth capturing—quiet study corners, busy social spaces, and everything in between. This student art competition invites you to share your perspective and leave a lasting mark on campus. Celebrate college life through art and be part of the launch of the newly renovated AyePod. Winning pieces will be displayed for the whole campus community to enjoy.

Terms and Conditions

  • Submissions must come from students currently enrolled at UHI Moray 

  • HISA employees are not permitted to enter this competition, including career staff and elected officers. 

  • Students will be asked to submit artwork, photography or written work themed around “College Life” 

  • Submissions must not contain profanity, hate speech, or nudity. 

  • Submissions must be received by HISA Moray: 

    • Digitally via PNG, TIFF, PDF, EPS, or RAW files, emailed to HISA.Moray@uhi.ac.uk, or 

    • Submission of the original piece to the HISA Moray office. 

  • Submissions must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 6th March 2025. 

  • Submissions will be judged by a panel made up of representatives from HISA and UHI Moray. 

  • Submissions will be judged based on how well they respond to the theme, whether they are suitable for framing and sizing to the AyePod panel dimensions, whether the pieces compliment each other, and according to the opinion of the judges. 

    • Judges will consider that chosen pieces must be suitable for framing and hanging in the following dimensions: 

      • Panel 1 – 78x42 inches 

      • Panel 2 – 143x42 inches 

      • Panel 3 – 140.5x42 inches 

      • Panel 4 – 73x42 inches 

    • Therefore, larger or smaller pieces must be increased or reduced in size without quality loss. 

  • The successful entrants will be notified by HISA Moray via their student email with it being publicly announced on 28th April 2026. 

  • Information on being successful must not be shared until made public via HISA and UHI Moray’s communication channels. 

  • By submitting artwork for this competition, entrants are confirming they are happy for their work to be displayed at UHI Moray’s physical campuses in Elgin, specifically the area currently known as the “AyePod” at Moray Street Campus, with their name, title of the piece and description being displayed publicly.
